各位好。新人沒什麼好寫，譯點lp archive吧。本帖的重點在英文學習，所以只會選譯一點點。

(美國本科的，IELTS8分的，GRE330的請放過萌新)

Let's Play Archive 是美國something awful 論壇下面的遊戲帖紀錄區，可以算是文字版的實況。

利用galgame中英對譯的特點，我們可以學到許多英文詞組。
(當然也不能盡信...抄下來前，還是先用Corpus of Contemporary American English (一般稱COCA)先檢查一下。)

下面就用(我最喜愛的)Ever17開頭來當例子!

The May sun shimmered on its surface.

Above, high above, stretched a clear blue sky.

The fresh, new sky looked so glossy and vivid that it might spill down to earth at any moment.

The straight line of the horizon stretched into the distance, dividing the sea from the heavens.

    他，站在蓝色世界的正中央。

    触目所及，是一片一望无际的海洋。

    五月的太阳，散发出耀眼的光芒。

    抬头仰望，是一片万里无云的晴空。

    初生的天空，像是将要满溢出来似地，美丽得快要令人窒息。

    四周的景色，占据了他的视线。

    延伸至远方的地平线，将大海与天空分隔开来。

"一望无际的海洋" = a sheet of water reached into the distance
COCA 上類似的例句: A fresh sheet of water washed down over the windshield. (水幕打在車頭的擋風玻璃上。)

Everglades National Park is the last stop for a vast sheet of water that begins just south of Orlando, bubbles slowly down the Florida peninsula and tumbles off the end into Florida Bay.

(Everglades 國家公園鄰接著一片一望无际的海洋，由Orlando州的南部延伸到Florida半島，最終流入Florida灣。)

"陽光耀眼" = sun shimmered on its surface

COCA 上類似的例句:The morning sun shimmered across my head and shoulders through the live oaks.
(早晨的陽光透過橡樹的葉片打到我身上。)

天空可以用"glossy and vivid"來形容:

(Glossy是指上面這種藍色)

It was the whispering voice of a young woman. Her bulky, black arm was swaying rhythmically. Disturbed by the difference between the voice and its owner's appearance, he moved hypnotized in its direction. The hand and arm clearly belonged to a tanuki. It was a big tanuki.

 【？？】

    “喂！快点过来一下啦！”

    听起来像是年轻女性的声音。

    她那又黑又粗的手，规律地摆动着。

    因为声音和眼前所看到的东西，感觉实在是差太多了，

    他就像被诱惑似地向前走去。

    那只手，以及手腕，很明显地，根本就是一只……狸。

    全身……没错，的确是一只大狸。

 

He was led by the tanuki into a room at the end of the walkway. Or rather...packed into it.

    “你知道这里是哪里吗？”

    大狸带着他，走进了通道尽头的房间。

    与其说是自己走进去……还不如说是被押进去的。

 

"This is..."

(Is this the girl's changing room...?)

He saw a uniform, like the one You had been wearing, packed away inside an open locker.

(Hey...I can even see some women's underwear...)

 

    “这里是……”

    （这不是女子更衣室吗？）

    在打开着的置物柜里，放着许多和优相同的制服。

    （而且，还看到了一些女性内衣……）

 

The room smelled like perfume. The air was saturated with a scent so strong it almost made him choke. The smell was about to overwhelm him. He struggled to get his mind under control and maintain his focus.

    四周弥漫着香水的芬芳。

    刺鼻的香味，飘散在这附近的空气中。

    只要闻到了这个味道，就好像会丧失意识似的。

    他压抑着自己，用理性战胜一切。

overwhelm = 充溢，使難以承受  (注意這個字有"過量"的意思)

I was overwhelmed by all the flowers and letters of support I received.  ( 收到這些鮮花和支持者的來信令我激動得不知所措。 )

 

pack into = 一堆人擠在一起

On sunny weekends people pack into it like sardines.  (在晴天的週末，人們總像沙丁魚般擠在一起。)
